This tearoom has a beautiful, dog friendly courtyard garden where we enjoyed a relaxing break while out shopping and exploring the town.
The courtyard/ garden area was quiet and had a relaxed atmosphere when we visited on a lovely sunny September afternoon. Although it was busy we were lucky enough to find a table in a cosy corner surrounded by shrubbery.
The Menu | They serve breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and early evening bites alongside a fabulous selection of teas, coffee and even have a wine list for those who fancy a little afternoon tipple.
Elsa settled in the shade under our table with her lunch while we placed our order.
We decided to try ‘The Folly Classic’ tea – a lovely combination of Indian Assam and Sri Lankan Dimbula Black Tea. Everything was served on adorable vintage, floral crockery.
Of course we couldn’t resist a very generous wedge of beautiful banana and caramel cake!
Fortunately the secluded garden area gave Elsa the opportunity to catch up on some sleep… all the walking had really tired her out!
When we’d finished our tea and cake (which were both delicious) we made our way back along Hoppers Yard. Next door to the Folly Tearoom is the Tea Caddy, where you can buy tea leaves and caddy’s to take home and enjoy.
Everything about this little street is quaint, from the bunting to these quirky lavatory doors with cute little ribbons to show which are the ladies and the gents…
Hoppers Yard may be small, but it’s packed full of charming little shops!
Folly Tearoom is definitely worth a visit if you are looking for somewhere that is dog friendly in Holt, away from the hustle and bustle, where you can enjoy a quality cuppa and flavoursome treat!
