Bark in the Park 2016, organised by Merseyside Dogs Home.
Despite the gloriously wet British weather, we headed up to Calderstones Park in Liverpool for a few hours of fun with Elsa. She loves other dogs and had the opportunity to meet lots of new friends!
The event area was easy to find, well laid out and surprisingly not as muddy as we expected it to be! As well as the main ring for displays there were 3 show rings, ‘temptation alley’, have-a-go agility course and lots of shops and stalls.
Elsa entered three show categories; Best Female, Dog the Judge would like to take home and Best Pedigree. There was some stiff competition at the show, which had a fantastic turn out considering the weather was less than pleasant.
We are proud to say that Elsa did come away with a rosette! She won 2nd place in the ‘Dog the Judge would like to take home’ category – that’s our girl!
Between the show events we took the opportunity to have a walk around the park and found a lovely dog friendly ice cream parlour tucked away. They even sold ice cream for dogs!
There were lots of dachshunds and pugs at the show – we adore these breeds!
It was this handsome chaps 14th Birthday!
We finished up the day by doing a little bit of shopping and picked up this beautiful collar by House of Wagg in Hello Kitty Liberty fabric.
