We stopped at The Dog & Doublet Inn in Sandon, Staffordshire for Sunday lunch with Elsa.
Situated in a quiet Staffordshire village, this pub has a small indoor dog friendly area where you can enjoy a few drinks or have a bite to eat. We decided to make the most of the sunshine and sit outside in the spacious outdoor area at the front.
There were a few other dogs enjoying the sunshine too, and Elsa had great fun when they all started barking at a passing group of walkers!
Once calm was restored, we enjoyed a relaxing lunch. No sign of doggie treats or menu here but we always take a ‘packed lunch’ for Elsa, and she did get a sneaky bit of chicken from us too… There was a water bowl by the door and the waitress offered Elsa a drink and gave her a fuss, which she loved!
After lunch we took a quick stroll around on the way back to the car, soaking up the sun and beautiful atmosphere of this area.
Sandon Hall is also just a stones throw away… we could see the sheep grazing the grounds just inside the gates.
