Our gorgeous little Elsa is growing up fast and we have had so much fun celebrating her 2nd birthday with her!
The day started out as any other for Elsa… snuggles, a morning walk, playtime, breakfast… but since it was her birthday we decided to treat her to a nice bath and brush at Paws & Co… They did a beautiful job as always, and kindly gave Elsa some birthday presents too! Such a lovely surprise!
You can’t have a birthday without cake!
Next on the agenda was baking her birthday cake! We bought a ‘Make, Bake & Celebrate!’ kit from The Hungry Hounds Bakery and added some grated carrot to the batter mixture…
We are really pleased with how Elsa’s carrot cake turned out! The topping is cream cheese and the sprinkles are made from dried carrot.
After a quick taste of the cake we opened Elsa’s presents…
We decided to treat Elsa to one of the few things she didn’t already have… a personalised bowl! We found this one on Etsy by Megan Louise Ceramics. The colour is perfect, it’s absolutely beautiful and very well made so we’re very happy with it!
Of course Elsa did prefer the bowl with food in it! Time for cake!
Instead of throwing Elsa a ‘pawty’ like we did last year, we decided to put the money that we would have spent towards sponsoring a guide dog puppy instead!
We have had a lovely day with Elsa and she seems to have enjoyed herself too!
