Middleport Mutts was held on site at Middleport Pottery; the historic ceramics factory in Burslem, at the heart of Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire.
We only heard about Middleport Mutts a couple of weeks ago via facebook and couldn’t wait to attend! From a fun dog show to shops and an agility course, this is exactly the type of event that we enjoy taking Elsa to.
Middleport Mutts | Sunday 13th November 2016
The first room that we entered was lined with shops selling various things for dogs and dog lovers from beds to toy boxes, treats, trinkets and even dog clothes!

Dog Show and Agility
The dogs had a variety of activities to enjoy and could also have their photograph taken at the back of the main event room by Potteries Images.
We enjoyed watching the dog show for a while, particularly the fancy dress category!
Elsa was thrilled to see her furry friend, Piglet the Frenchie! Instagram @piglet_frenchie
We didn’t enter Elsa into the show today but Piglet tried his luck in the handsomest male category. Sadly, he missed out on the top prize although Elsa still thought he was the loveliest boy in the room!
Café
The café is also dog friendly (on the first floor) so we sat down for a coffee and scone which were delicious! The dog friendly seating area is very spacious.
Burleigh Shop
In the shop you can find a huge selection of this prettily patterned pottery in a range of colours.
Exploring the site
Middleport Pottery is steeped in history. The site itself was built in 1888 and is now owned by The Prince’s Regeneration Trust. We enjoyed exploring the cobbled streets and soaking up the atmosphere with Elsa.
We hadn’t realised how dog friendly Middleport Pottery was until now, and after today I am certain that we will be back again with Elsa!
