Our Favourite Christmas Gifts for Dogs – 2017

'Tis the season to do some Christmas shopping! From dog advent calendars to festive grooming products, there are so many amazing things available for dogs at this time of year!

Here's what we've got under our tree for Elsa...

Lily's Kitchen

This is one of our favourite British brands and they never disappoint with their range of high quality festive treats! We absolutely LOVE the 'Christmas Collection' of dog biscuits this year too. The artwork on the packaging is so pretty. We bought these from Hounds but they are available in most good pet shops and online directly from Lily's Kitchen

Elsa gets very excited when it's time to open the next door on the Advent calendar as we count down to Christmas. We've also caught her trying to open a few of the doors on her own when she thought we weren't looking - she would quite happily scoff all the treats in one sitting if given the chance!

Although we were going to save the tin of biscuits for Christmas Day, curiosity got the better of us so we took a peak inside...the amount of thought and detail that has gone into this selection is absolutely incredible. There are eight different types of dog biscuit, including favourites like Lily's Organic Bedtime Biscuits as well as a few seasonal specials like Turkey and Cranberry Biscuits. The Gingerbread Dog takes centre stage - this generously sized treat is made from buckwheat flour and peanut butter and it had Elsa licking her lips at the sight of it!

House of Paws Sparkle Reindeer Multi Squeak Toy + Green & Wild's Santa's Gift Sack for Dogs We bought both of these from Hounds.

Despite vowing not to buy any Christmas themed toys this year, this squeaky reindeer toy is something that Elsa will really enjoy playing with on Christmas Day, so it went into our shopping basket along with this cute little Christmas sack filled with lots of natural, healthy treats by Green & Wilds.

Hownd Miracle Face Scrub + Mutts & Hounds Lavender Heart We bought both of these from Gus & Bear.

Although neither of these items are 'Christmas' themed, they both caught our eye...Elsa does suffer from tear staining so we can't wait to see if this scrub from Hownd lives up to expectations. The Lavender Heart smells gorgeous and this is something that we will hang above her bed.

Christmas Dog Onesie from B&M

Surprisingly, B&M is one of the best places to buy inexpensive novelty clothes for dogs! They usually only have a limited amount of stock and it sells out fast, so when we found this onesie in Elsa's size back in October we bought it straight away. They also have various other dog outfits including elf and reindeer suits along with Christmas jumpers.

Mutneys Christmas Grooming Mini Pet Care Pack

We love Mutneys products because they are manufactured in Britain with biodegradable, eco-friendly ingredients and contain no harmful chemicals. These Christmas grooming sets contain a bottle of dog shampoo, cleansing face wash and a dog fragrance spray with a little top-knot bow.

You can select from a range of scents - we opted for both the minty-fresh 'Candy Canine' set and the cinnamon & spice scented 'Santa Paws' set which comes with Festive Orange Zest Shampoo. They both smell very natural and festive! A little goes a long way too so these sets should keep us going well into the New Year.

We can't wait to let Elsa open her gifts on Christmas morning!
