Paws and Rewind is a look back at the places, products, activities and events that we have been enjoying with Elsa over the past month.
The days are getting longer and Spring seems to have finally arrived in Britain. Although it is still a little wet and chilly, nothing could stop Elsa from having fun!
We had a pretty quiet Easter at the beginning of April, mostly recovering from our trip to Cornwall! We did so much in the space of a week that I decided to split the blog post up into 3 parts, all published in April:
When Elsa met Bodie (she was in a very bad mood!)
On the way home from Cornwall, we stopped in Devon to meet another well-travelled pooch from the U.S.A called Bodie, and his lovely owner Belinda! We are huge fans of their book called 'Bodie on the Road', so it was amazing to meet them both! Click here to read the full blog post that was published in April.
All too soon our holiday seemed like a distant memory as we settled back into our usual routine at home in Staffordshire...
The main event in April was The Great Guide Dogs Tea Party on the 21st, where we managed to raise a 'pawsome' £275 for Guide Dogs, with the help of The Cakery, Hounds and Paws & Co Staffordshire LTD!
Thanks again to everyone that took part in this event, and for all of your kind donations, we couldn't have reached this amazing total without your 'suppawt'! Guide Dogs receive 100% of their funding from public donations, so this money will go a long way towards helping them change the lives of people affected by sight loss.
Walking | We've been making the most of the longer days and (slightly) warmer weather to take Elsa on lots of nice walks at some of our favourite places including Trentham Gardens and Bridgemere Garden World.
Shopping | We've been to quite a few of our favourite shops this month, mainly to buy gifts for other dogs... but I always manage to sneak something into the basket for Elsa too!
Ginger&Browns | Sneak Peak: We've just bought some 'Lickimats' for Elsa to try...
Hounds celebrated their 2nd Birthday this month, how time flies... Of course we had to join in the fun!
Paws up to Pets Corner at Bridgemere Garden World for stocking ORIJEN! | It's been a while since we last visited this pet shop and we were thrilled to find ORIJEN on sale here! They had a few varieties in stock, including some of the freeze-dried treats too. Since Elsa is the official 'ambassadog' for ORIJEN, we couldn't resist taking a few pictures while we were there...
Find out why we chose to feed Elsa this brand of dog food and treats in the full blog post: 'Elsa - Powered by ORIJEN'.
This month, Elsa's been trying the ORIJEN Six Fish dry dog food and it's gone down swimmingly! The kibble seems to be a bit crunchier than the Fit & Trim recipe and Elsa has been enjoying it very much, she absolutely loves fish! This recipe has an unmatched diversity of fresh, whole and wild-caught fish and absolutely no unnecessary carbohydrates like potato and tapioca. ORIJEN have sent Elsa something very exciting to try in May, watch this space...
The Pack - April 2018
It's been a busy month for The Pack! Welcome Phoebe, Logan, Volt, Bella & Maya, Daisy and Rex! You can view their full profiles and read about their favourite places in Britain (and Europe!) by clicking on their pictures.
Next Month - As we head into May, we are looking forward to the long bank holiday weekends!
Expect lots of grooming related posts: Elsa will be going for a 'style consultation' and I will be getting a bit of extra training to help me improve my grooming skills.
We will also be at the Vita Canis Style to Rescue event on May 19th, so please say hello if you see us!
