Paws and Rewind is a look back at the places, products, activities and events that we have been enjoying with Elsa over the past month.
October is always a very special month for us for two reasons: Elsa's Birthday on the 18th and Halloween...
Elsa turned 4 this year and we decided to dedicate the whole day to doing what she loves the most and spent the entire day at the beach! We rented one of the St. Annes Beach Huts in Lytham St. Annes and were extremely fortunate to have one last wave of summer with blue skies all day. It was pretty perfect and we're fairly sure Elsa enjoyed herself, and her birthday cake too!
We continued the celebrations with an Autumn mini-break at Verdant Leisure's Heather View Leisure Park site in County Durham. Elsa had so much fun watching all the rabbits, squirrels and pheasants roaming around the site but she couldn't believe her luck when she saw her very first hedgehog! (We actually had to carry her away because she became uncontrollably excited...) This was our first time in a static caravan type lodge and we were extremely impressed with the accommodation - it was absolutely amazing and set in such a beautiful location with lots of accessible dog friendly walks right on the doorstep. After such a busy summer it was really nice to escape for a couple of days and relax.
As part of our collaboration with Stay in a Pub, we're really excited to extend this relationship to include walks with Julia Bradbury's The Outdoor Guide - keep an eye out for our first TOG inspired walk that we'll be featuring very soon!
As October started to draw to a close Halloween really crept up on us but we still managed to squeeze in a few seasonal activities including a visit to our favourite dog shop Hounds followed by some spooktacular treats from The Cakery next door. They always make Elsa so welcome, even though she does tend to act like a bit of a diva when we go there...
