Paws and Rewind – January 2019

Paws and Rewind – January 2019
The ORIJEN dog food featured in this post was given to Elsa as a gift.

Paws and Rewind is a look back at the places, products, activities and events that we have been enjoying with Elsa over the past month.

January Highlights:

Out with the old, in with the new...

January was a quiet month on the blog but behind the scenes we have been very, very busy!

2018 was amazing, and we have even more planned for 2019, so I felt like it was time for a short break to recharge our batteries. We've been spending lots of quality time with Elsa and have also given the blog a bit of a refresh with a new pipdig theme and a brand new logo. I just felt like it was time for a change!

This may sound strange coming from a blogger, but taking a break from social media does you the world of good. January is also a great time to 'paws and reflect' on what's important to you, and make plans for the future, so that's exactly what we've been doing...

As tempting as it is to spend all of our time cuddled up with Elsa indoors, we do our best to keep her active during the winter months. She is walked twice a day, regardless of the weather, but unfortunately she doesn't have as many opportunities to socialise and play with other dogs due to the short days. As a result of this, and a few too many treats over the festive period, her weight has crept up a little so we have re-measured all her food portions (she eats ORIJEN Fit & Trim) and we've started actively using the new weight tracker feature on the PitPat app to make sure that she maintains a healthy weight.

It looks like the cold weather is here to stay for a while but Elsa is definitely a snow dog, she absolutely LOVES it! Thank goodness for her Equafleece, I honestly don't know how we ever kept her clean without one!
