DogFest always has an amazing atmosphere and there are so many things to do; from dog aerobics and live music on the main stage to agility and flyball demos, have-a-go activities including a fun dog show and the opportunity to meet the hosts, Clare Balding and Noel Fitzpatrick and take part in the ‘Great Dog Walk’, PDSA dog health checks, Hay Bale Racing sponsored by PitPat – there is something to satisfy every dog at DogFest! You could easily spend a whole day at the event and not cover everything.

DogFest: The Place for Dogs to See and be Seen!

This was our fourth consecutive year at the ‘North’ location and this year the wonderful team behind DogFest invited Elsa to be part of their ‘Hound Hangout’, a special area where the Dogs of Instagram can meet and greet their followers and fellow Insta-hounds.

Elsa shared the spotlight with @cheshirecanines @lifewithtoby @honeybdoodle @jacksonjunior.pug and @winniewooandthezoo – it was so lovely to meet everyone!

Elsewhere around the show, we spotted some of our old friends including Doug the Pug Therapy Dog at the Pets as Therapy stand and Mojo with her pawesomely talented poodle pack, showing off her tricks and latest book. Pictured below with Elsa are: Viktor and Alan who were enjoying the activities!

Shopping at DogFest

Aside from Crufts, DogFest is our favourite place to shop for Elsa because there are so many of our favourite retailers in one place. You can find everything from dog coats and collars to food, treats, toys and lots more!

Elsa gets the VIP (Very Important Paws) treatment at DogFest

In past years we’ve always walked past the VIP tent and looked inside longingly at the people and pooches lounging around, particularly jealous of their cosy setting when the heavens have opened on us and we’ve got very wet…but not this year!!! As part of our invitation to be part of the Hound Hangout, we also received VIP tickets to the event.

The VIP package gives you much more than shelter from bad weather… the tent is always centrally located, giving visitors a great base for exploring the full event. Ticket holders also get priority parking within a five minute walk from the gates and fast track entry. The DogFest VIP team is on hand throughout the day to offer advice and help you get your bearings, including directing you to the complimentary lunch, snacks and drinks!

As a VIP guest you also have a much better chance of getting up-close and personal with Noel Fitzpatrick who stops by to share stories. Live acoustic music is performed throughout the day and you also have access to specialist talks that take place in the VIP tent. To top it all off, VIP guests also receive exclusive goody bags filled with treats and DogFest merchandise!

With special thanks to all of the team at DogFest, we had such an amazing time and are so grateful to have been part of this fantastic event!
