"Hugo is an apricot Cockapoo who lives with his family in the wonderful dog friendly market town of Leek, North Staffordshire; "The Queen of the Moorlands".
Hugo loves being with his family, especially his Mummy and goes to as many places with her as he can. He enjoys visiting all of his favourite dog friendly shops, cafes and pubs in his home town and is a big fan of Leek's Totally Locally initiative supporting local businesses, independent shops, traders and artists; he gets a warm welcome wherever he goes.
He has lots of Cockapoo friends and likes to meet up with them regularly for a pack walk; Mummy calls it a 'Chaos' of Cockapoos!
His favourite pastime is getting wet, the wetter the better, and if there's mud involved then he's in heaven! Whether it be a river, stream, lake, the sea or just a muddy puddle then he'll usually find a way to get in whether Mummy wants him to or not! Luckily for Mummy he also loves a good bath, but getting him out of it can often be a challenge!
His favourite place to sleep is on the bottom step of the stairs and he refuses to move in the morning until Mummy gets up, even for breakfast! Poor Daddy has to step over him most days whilst trying not to spill Mummy's tea!
He likes to share his adventures and recommendations for dog friendly places to visit on his Instagram page." - Alison, Staffordshire.

Hugo's favourite place is Rudyard Lake in Staffordshire.
"Living in the Stafforshire Moorlands there are many wonderful places we visit regularly such as Dimmingsdale, Tittesworth Reservoir and The Roaches but by far our favourite place is Rudyard Lake.
Hugo's big brother is a member of the North Staffs Rowing Club junior squad so Saturday mornings mean an early walk around the lake during training. It's a beautiful tranquil walk at that time of day and the changing seasons mean that no view is ever the same. There's always the opportunity for a cheeky dip in the lake by the jetty when the crews bring their boats in and of course a huge fuss from the girl's crew, Hugo's very popular!
This is Hugo's second summer so we've been trying out some dog friendly holidays this year, a first for the humans!
Our first long weekend was to Dougal's Holiday Den - Tides Reach, a wonderful 2 bedroom apartment in Rhosneigr, Anglesey. This is owned by the lovely Lynn who also owns Dougal's Den, Hugo's favourite pet shop in Leek.
We have just spent an amazing week exploring 'Doggy North Devon' staying at The Pebbles, Westward Ho! a luxury Canine Cottages holiday home.
Both offer fantastic accommodation for pups and humans alike with wonderful dog friendly towns and places to visit as well as miles of unspoilt dog friendly beaches to explore." - Alison
